REPOST: Dream of falling out of the sky while on fire?

*This is a repost of an older question that I did not seem to get a satisfactory answer for, because all of them were based on superstitions.*

I have had absolutely countless dreams of me being a very large bat, and flying across the sky, over all sorts of thing. Sometimes I am flying over the ocean, other times over fields and forests, sometimes through a city, and on rare occasion, through the destroyed and burning remains of cities and battlefields.

However, this dream was different…

Im flying through clouds in the early hours of the morning, just as the sun is about to rise. This is common, but what happened after about an hour of flying was very unusual. For the first time, my wings burst into flames, burning and melting away, sending me spiraling to the ground. I try to recover but I realize that it is futile, and I continue to spiral out of the sky, on fire. It seemed as if I was falling for a long time, but just before I hit the ground, I woke up…

Why?

Lizzie asks…

I had a dream that someone else was pregnant and now I’m scared a death will occur?

I dreamed my mother and grandmother were both pregnant (weird I know about my grandma) and now I’m scared because I heard that means a death will occur. However I have also been thinking about pregnancy a lot lately and babies and my cousin had a baby a few months ago. Could it just be on my mind or is that superstition true? And oh gosh I had a bird in my dream too and I think that means a death too … I’m really freaking out.
Btw the bird in my dream was like just hatched and covered in gross gooey stuff. I was driving in the car and the bird was there and I though it was going to die but then I put it in a bag in the passenger seat and I got to this house. When I got to the house I put the bird in a cage and it’s feathers were drying out.

Suzi Q answers:

No pregnancy means a surprise and a blessing, Don’t worry no one is going to die if you dream of someone in a wedding dress or that your teeth are falling and you see blood then freak out because someone is dying. Your safe <3 Are you concerned that you cant have babies?

Sharon asks…

A question about Carnival Dream?

There is this new cruise ship coming out right…they said that it has 14 decks…but no 13th deck making 14 and 15 the last two decks

why no 13th deck…is it superstition or something what 13 is an unlucky number Friday the 13th…got it!!!!!
well its a Cruise Ship!!!!

Suzi Q answers:

I was on the Valor this past Sept and during a scavenger hunt, we needed to find the #13 life boat. Went crazy looking for it and then were finally told by a Carnival staff member that there is no #13 boat and also no 13th floor. I think that might be why all the floors are named something else.

Jenny asks…

What does it mean to dream about a cat scratching me?

I was at my friend’s house and all of a sudden her cat just started going crazy and started chasing me and scratching me. So my friend took the cat away but somehow it got out and tried scratching me again. So like, I kind of tried to climb their house to get away (lol) but my friend’s mother told me to get down because the cat was harmless. Jesus, I woke up all sweaty. (the cat was so SCARY!)

So I was wondering what that meant. My mother is really superstitious and I guess I kinda get the superstition from her.

Also, make it kind of clear for me to understand… I went on all these sites to see the meaning of this dream (it’s been bothering me) but I couldn’t understand it. So make it easy for a 13 year old to understand.

Suzi Q answers:

If the cat is aggressive, then it suggests that you are having problems with the feminine aspect of yourself. If you are afraid of the cat in your dream, then it suggests that you are fearful of the feminine.
In simple words, the baby is getting adult to become a woman and is constantly worried about its implication. Tell ur mom not to worry. This phase might have come in her life as well

James asks…

hmmm random/odd/weird question?

have you ever died in ur dreams?

i am watching medium, the tv show, and there’s this episode, where at the beginning, she’s talking about how there are, hmmm i guess superstitions, that if u die in ur dreams u die in real life…. so i was wondering… has any1 ever died in their dreams?

i don’t really remember what my dreams were about or anything for that matter, but i know that i have had a few dreams where i almost die, but b4 i die, i wake up… but i don’t remember any dreams where i actually die, and wake up either once I’ve died, or wake up AFTER having died….

lol… well… so i was wondering.. has any1 ever woken up after having died in a dream?

Suzi Q answers:

Yeah. Many ways have i died and often very violently but very rarely have i ever had a coming to God dream where i actually die and go to my judgment. Those are always interesting but almost more calming that what might have preceded it.
Just because you die in a dream does not mean you will die for real. Though i have been told that people who have sleep apnea (they stop breathing while sleeping) can have dreams in which they die accompanied by one of those times that they are not breathing. But who knows if the dream caused the not breathing or the not breathing caused the dream. Though i have only stopped breathing once that i know of while sleeping. A chest infection temporarily clogged up my esophagus and i woke up choking so bad i wasn’t breathing even after waking. Luckily long ago i learned how not to panic when not breathing. Such panicking actually makes it worse as your terror uses up more air that you don’t have. So while upset i got myself breathing within a few seconds. It scared me very much and i didn’t sleep for a day or so till i wasn’t so sick.

Donna asks…

Did I enter the “Spirit World” if I dreamt someone offering something to me?

Here’s the background info in my dream:
Apparently I transferred schools and this boy (a really good friend of mine) I like started to hit on my friend. My friend got really mad because that boy said “Hey listen. I’m really upset at how she transferred, and I don’t know, now I just seem to like you a lot. I really do.” The reason why she’s getting mad at him is because she has a boyfriend (in real life as well) but here’s the twist. He doesn’t even exist in my dream. That’s why the boy is telling her he likes her is because in her mind she’s in a relationship but to everyone else she’s single.
So this one day I come home and I see my friend and the boy both in my house by my bedside standing and arguing. I asked what’s going on and my friend pulls me and says, “Yo. It’s not working out. They’re getting the wrong idea.” Then I ask, “Really? It’s that bad? So is it going to be now?” And she goes, Yea we gotta do this now, and hands over a ring to me. I took the ring and I walk over to the boy and I give him the ring to put on my finger. He grabs my right hand and just before he was about to place the ring on my finger I pulled away and I gave him my left hand and said “You’re supposed to put it on my left”.
Here’s what kinda got me thinking and made me post this here:
He kept asking “You sure? Your left?…Are you sure? Left not Right?” And you know how people would squint there eyes when ask questions like that to the person they’re talking to? Well that’s how he made his eyes look like the whole time. He kept squinting to see if I was sure about what I was about to do…finally in the end he put the ring on my ring finger in my left hand.

Superstition 1: In my country we don’t take things with our left hand. We just don’t. I don’t know the full story behind it, but I do know that it’s disrespectful to take things with our left hand if someone offers us anything.
-My friend offered the ring to me and I took it with my right.
-I gave it to the boy and he takes my right hand but I pulled away and showed him my left hand.
-What bothers me is how he kept looking at me and asking me the same question.
->After I awoke, I felt I disrespected him..or someone..but I don’t know.

Superstition 2: In my country when you have a dream where you are offered food by someone (anyone), you enter the Spirit World. There’s also another Superstition attached to that where the person is a spirit taking the form of anyone (could be your mom, dad, brother, sister, etc.) and what they offer could be anything. If they offer it and you take it, then you enter the spirit world.

My question is: Was I about to enter the spirit world? Because even though I took the ring from my friend, I didn’t wake up at that time, I walked on over to the boy and gave it to him.
Also did I reject the “spirit” by pulling my RIGHT hand away and giving them my LEFT?

I have another question: In reality, aside from the whole spirit crap, this dream was about the boy I like, me transferring and ending up getting engaged to him..does this mean something in reality?

Dream; my assassination?

Someone want to throw some superstition my way?

So I had a really crazy dream last night.
I was laying in bed and someone knocked on the door…I let him in and we’re both very casual..he explains his purpose (to assassinate me) and says he will stand a certain distance from me for the shot and I agreed with him…being the smartass I am I feel no fear..he throws a giant blade towards my chest and I deflected it with my hand. I picked up the blade for a chance to kill him..I’m not a killer though…he walks by me and I just stand there blade in hand. ..

The end.

Suzi Q answers:

The dream, shows ur fear. This may involve a painful memory, guilt, or some repressed thoughts. And behavior.. Overall , it shows ur acute stress, low confidence, will over powered, depression , frustration, insecurity and fear of failure, try to be happy

Mark asks…

What does a dream like this mean?

Dream interpreters, please reply. I want to know the deeper meaning of this dream, and if it holds more than the obvious.

OK, so I’m a pretty depressed, cynical teenager just by nature. I’ve never had serious thoughts of suicide, other than the mere mood swings. It was never anything more than a spur of the moment thing. I don’t have the guts to kill myself anyway.

Last night I had a dream where I had a hand gun. I was putting it to my head trying to pull the trigger. However, whenever I would pull the trigger when it was at my head, the gun WOULD NOT fire. When I pointed it away to test the gun, it would fire most of the time.

So I tried 3-4 times to get the gun to fire when it was at my head and it never did once. I even remember checking to see if it was loaded (in my dream obviously).

So yeah, does a dream of this nature have a universal meaning? Even a superstition? I know they say that no one can interpret a dream as well as the victim, but I still thought I’d ask.

Thanks.

Suzi Q answers:

To dream that you commit suicide, suggests that conditions in your life are so frustrating that you no longer want to deal with the situation or relationship You may be harboring feelings of guilt that you cannot get over and thus turning the aggression on yourself. You need to start approaching problems from a different angle. Alternatively, it may suggest that you are saying good-bye to one aspect of yourself and hello to a whole new you. It is symbolic of a personal transformation or a new stage in your life.

Donald asks…

what could this dream mean?

I recently dreamt that I was going to get married with my boyfriend, though in the dream we were only really good friends kinda like best friends ( I think) though we weren’t romantically involved. in the dream he told me he was in love with only one woman & he wanted to marry her then he blurted it was me, I also wanted to marry him, from what I remember it seemed like I planned my own wedding & everything seemed perfect till the actual wedding moment, I didnt have a dress, my aunt suddenly appeared offering me a dress to wear but when I put it on I distinctly remember it being dirty- dingy like it was old. It had an off white color with black trimming & black satin around the waist, the dress wasnt ugly but it did seem very old, dingy & had black on it. To me; my own personal superstition: black is a very bad sign for a wedding. but back to the dream though I wasnt too happy with my dress I wore it & when it came down to walk down the isle he wasnt there, I remember calling him on my cell & he told me he was @ a bar playing pool trying to distract his mind cause he thought I didnt want to marry him, I then told him i did & that we were all waiting for him,he then told me he was on his way happily. I somehow then met up with him and we walked back to the venue together and we seemed happy. but thats it thats all i remember, I dont remember actually getting married or anything else. This dream has been lingering in my head & has been bothering me, what could it mean? first of all we’ve only been dating for 7months, we dont even live together yet so its way too early to be even thinking about marraige, we are very happy from where I see it.. so what could it mean? & Y am I really focused on this dress? the dinginess & black has me worried, if anyone could help shed some light on this Id greatly appriciate it!

Suzi Q answers:

Ok as a dream interpreter i will start off telling you that ALL dreams mean nothing! Dreams just express you or your emotions, they express what you feel and what you do in real life. Thats why they feel so real. Dreams cannot create people, places and things thats another reason why they feel so real! Dreams recall past memory, -for example if you see a person you don’t recognize in dreams, you probably saw him before on TV or walking in the street (you probably didn’t pay attention to them). Dreams express your emotions and thoughts in a negative way

Nothing. The dream was about nothing. Dreams mean nothing they just express your emotions and feelings in a symbolic way.

Dreams are simple synapses in your brain firing off all sorts of things. Your brain gathers all this random information, sights, sounds and so forth. And as you are sleeping, these sights and essentially memories are jumbled up into one big mess, just random nonsense, and your brain works and works for an hour or so trying to create a nice little story with all of these sights and sounds because it wants to make sense of it. It wants to make sense out of nonsense! So, then you end up with this dream. This happens several times in one night but when you wake up, you forget all of them, and when you do remember one of them, when you do remember at least one dream, we try to make sense of it. We tell ourselves, what is this? What could it mean. When in reality, it means nothing, it is just complete nonsense. So stop trying to make sense of it, it is nothing!

Dreams are a succession of images, ideas, emotions and sensations occurring involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep.
